About Fall River Lake
Fall River Lake is a lake swimming beach about 75 minutes southeast of Wichita, in the southern Flint Hills near Eureka. The Corps swim beach sits inside Whitehall Bay Campground. Compared with Cheney and Afton, this is the “clearer, quieter, longer drive” option. Grassland runoff and fewer Wichita day-trippers are the draw. It is still a reservoir with warm summer water. not a spring-fed hole. Fall River State Park is next door; those units need a Kansas vehicle permit even if the Corps beach itself does not.
