Fed by glacial history and framed by dense, cathedral-like stands of northern hardwoods and conifers, this clear-water pond offers the kind of . Access is via Hapgood Pond Road off VT-11. A day-use fee may apply; check for current Forest Service rates upon arrival as the fee structure is not confirmed. Facilities are basic (tables, toilets). The area is managed by the U.S. Forest Service.

Named after the Hapgood family, early settlers in the region, and a longstanding local gathering place for outdoor recreation.
