Begin by heading west on US Route 340 (RT 340) toward Harpers Ferry, WV. Continue on RT 340 for about 17 miles. As you approach the bridge over the Potomac River, cross the bridge and slow down . After crossing the bridge, look for a gated pull-off on the north (right) side of RT 340. This pull-off lies just before you reach Harpers Ferry Road, which is on the south (left) side of RT 340.

Near the gated pull-off, there is an "unloading only" area used by river tubing outfitters. Just beyond the unloading area, you will find three parking spots . These spots overlook the waterfall and serve as a convenient starting point for your visit. Trail Information: From the parking area, you have two trail options to reach the : Option 1: A steep, downhill trail begins directly at the parking spots. This trail is challenging, with exposed roots and uneven terrain, so proceed with caution if you choose this route. Option 2 (Recommended): Walk back to the unloading area. From there, you will find a wide, safer trail leading downhill. As you approach the bottom of the hill, look for a trail that veers to the left . Follow this trail to reach the base of the waterfall. The waterfall flows into a stream that eventually leads to the river, providing a scenic and serene .
