Roaring Run

Roaring Run Falls is a free Jefferson National Forest day-use swimming and hiking stop near Eagle Rock, Clifton Forge, and Buchanan in western Virginia. The easy Streamside Trail leads about 0.8 mile along a trout stream to a ~35-foot cascade dropping over ledges into cold, clear pools. then you can close a ~1.5-mile loop on the Woodland Trail past the 1832 Roaring Run iron furnace.
